Povh Wines

Povh Wines

The year 1935, when the Povh family planted their very first vine in the Vipava Valley's hills, was the beginning a long winemaking tradition, which sprang to life in a modern form in 1985, when father Stanko took over the family vineyards and started paving the way towards brand recognition and top-quality wines with a protected designation of origin.

The winery is most proud of their Chardonnay, Sauvignon, Yellow Muscat and the indigenous Vipava Valley's variety – Zelen. Since 2016, it has been a member of the agri-environment-climate scheme. Povh wines are distinguished by knowledge, tradition, top quality and cooperation with nature.
