Petrič – Wines with Tradition

Petrič – Wines with Tradition

The Petrič family's long-established tradition of winemaking goes back to 1778. A wealth of winegrowing experiences has been passed down from generation to generation. The Petrič winery follows the development of a new, more environmentally-friendly winegrowing process, aiming to produce wines in a way that is as natural as possible. The winery is located in the upper Vipava Valley, only two kilometres from the town of Vipava, in the picturesque village of Slap, which boasts Slovenia's most beautiful old village centre. The Vipava Valley's microclimate is created by the Mediterranean and Alpine microclimates, which give the wine a special character, especially to two indigenous wine varieties, Pinela and Zelen.
